Chanel to show next cruise collection in Paris

Chanel has confirmed that the next cruise collection from the design house will be shown in Paris reports WWD. The cruise collection has recently been shown outside of Paris in Seoul and Havana, with the Métiers d'Art collection travelling to Dallas, Edinburgh and Salzburg in the past.

London Collections Men: fall/winter 2017 show schedule

The British capital will be kicking off the latest round of menswear shows, January 6, 2017. Over the course of four days, labels such as J.W.Anderson, Alex Mullins and Sibling will present their fall/winter 2017-2018 men's ready-to-wear collections. Topman Design is scheduled to launch the London event, while John Smedley will close with a show presenting menswear and womenswear, due on sale straight after the show.

Bottega Veneta to combine men’s and womenswear shows

Luxury design house Bottega Veneta has announced that going forward it will combine its menswear and womenswear ready-to-wear shows reports British Vogue. The change is set to take place in February at the brand's Milan Fashion Week autumn/winter 2017 womenswear show. The news comes after many other design houses have decided to shake up their schedules, with DSquared2 and Burberry also now opting for co-ed collections combining both menswear and womenswear.

Valentino Confirms Departure of Maria Grazia Chiuri

Valentino has confirmed the news that Maria Grazia Chiuri is leaving the design house reports WWD. The duo, who presented their last collection together at the Valentino couture show in Paris on Wednesday evening, were chosen by Valentino Garavani to work on the accessories category of the brand, before being promoted to creative directors in 2008. “A new and exciting phase for the brand begins under the creative leadership of Pierpaolo Piccioli.

Men’s fashion week opens with nod to British seaside

Topman Design went to the British seaside for its latest collection Friday, kicking off four days of men's fashion in London. J.W. Anderson, Christopher Kane, Barbour and some of Savile Row's top tailors are among those showing at this season's London Collections: Men, the twice yearly celebration of masculine style in the British capital. Topman Design, part of the Topshop high-street fashion stable, opened the event with a show featuring cropped sweaters in soft pinks or blues, washed denim jackets, boxy puffa jackets and jewelled white tracksuits.

River Island set to collaborate with London label Sibling on new collection

River Island's next high-profile collaboration will be with London-based knitwear label Sibling, reports British Vogue. Sibling will be the next in a long list of celebrity and designer collaborations with the UK high street store on their Design Forum collection, with previous names including UK designer Katie Eary and US singer Rihanna. Sibling designer Cozette McCreery expressed her excitement about partnering with the brand, “With any of our collaborations it always starts with the question: is this a good fit for the brand and the answer was a resounding yes!” said McCreery.

Versace opens new Tokyo boutique

Versace is focusing on its presence in Japan with the opening of a new boutique in Tokyo's Ginza district. Conceived by designer Donatella Versace in collaboration with English architect Jamie Fobert, the store occupies an area of 430 square meters, featuring marble mosaics, floors inspired by Byzantine churches of the Ninth Century and brass and perspex walls and shelving that appear to float in mid-air. “I just adore the design concept of the new Versace Stores, which pays tribute to Italy's cultural heritage,” said Versace.
