In the men's spring collection for Dior, Robert Pattinson is photographed in a black and white ad campaign against the backdrop of a Parisian night. Shot by Karl Lagerfeld, the Dior Homme collection features Pattinson in a biker jacket, tuxedo, and suit, one embroidered with lily-of-the-valley motifs. The collection was overseen by Dior creative director Kris Van Assche and the campaign is meant to evoke film noir.

Arab Fashion Week flaunts ‘ready couture’ in Dubai

Dior names Maria Grazia Chiuri as new creative director

As widely expected, Christian Dior officially announced the Italian designer's appointment as the label's new head creative on Friday, July 8, tweeting “Dior is delighted to welcome Ms. Maria Chiuri as artistic director of women's couture, RTW and accessory collections.” On Thursday, Valentino had confirmed that Maria Grazia Chiuri would be leaving her position of creative directorship at the Italian label, which she had shared with Pierpaolo Piccioli. As expected, it's the Italian designer Maria Grazia Chiuri who will take over as creative director of the Dior fashion house, replacing Raf Simons who stood down in October.

Dior sets May date for London show

A May 31 show at Blenheim Palace could mark a debut for Dior's new Creative Director. With Raf Simons having vacated the Creative Director's position in October 2015, Jonathan Saunders is said to be the Dior pick for Simons' successor. With Saunders having left Pollini in December 2015, as well as surrendering his own well known brand, talk is that he's accepted a position at Dior.

Hot-ticket catwalk shows at Paris Fashion Week

As newcomers rub shoulders with industry heavyweights and several major fashion houses await new designers, this edition of Paris Fashion Week — running March 1-9 — is sure to come with its own particular flavor.
