Khloe Kardashian’s denim brand Good American makes its mark on the fashion industry

The jeans brand, which the reality TV star founded with Emma Grede, made its debut on October 18 with three styles, available in a size-inclusive range of 00 to 24. Despite fashion's current focus on wide cuts and rigid denim styles, the duo have focused on body-skimming, flexible pieces with reinforced waistbands to eliminate any gap between the waist and hips. The brand, whose jeans are all manufactured in the US and stocked online at www.goodamerican.com and in selected Nordstrom boutiques, is now preparing to launch its first denim skirts, shorts and jackets, as of January 2017.

Caroline de Maigret tests out Chanel’s new Derby shoe

The French model can be seen sporting the new two-tone shoes in a black-and-white short film directed by Bertrand le Pluard for the luxury fashion house. The clip, which De Maigret has posted to her Instagram account, sees her skipping around the streets of her hometown of Paris, having teamed the tomboy-style shoes with rolled-up masculine trousers and a fine knit sweater. The androgynous footwear, part of the label's 2016/17 cruise collection, feature a various smooth, patent, exotic and even perforated leather uppers, topped off with a black leather toe — a reference to the brand's founder Gabrielle 'Coco' Chanel's first shoe designs in 1957.

Following the success of her debut collection for Tommy Hilfiger, Gigi Hadid is once again collaborating with the fashion brand — and this time she's getting the general public involved. The label has launched a social media initiative captioned “Tommy x Gigi x You,” inviting Instagram and Twitter users to vote on their favorite pieces from the upcoming Spring/Summer 2017 collection. According to WWD, the pieces with the most votes will be selected to appear in a February 2017 fashion show, before going on sale immediately afterwards.

French brand Sonia Rykiel has announced plans to close its Sonia by Sonia Rykiel diffusion line in a move aimed at repositioning its flagship brand. Sonia by Sonia Rykiel has four standalone stores and four corners in department stores, most of which will be shuttered by the end of 2017, reports WWD. The restructuring will also introduce lower price points on the main Sonia Rykiel line to make the brand more competitive.
