Feathers and nostalgia add glam to Prada spring collection

By Giulia Segreti MILAN (Reuters) – Retro trenchcoats, feathered cuffs and brightly colored patterns hinting at the 1960s and 70s were among the highlights of Prada's spring/summer women's wear collection in Milan on Thursday. Last month it predicted a return to sales and profit growth next year, helped by improved sales trends in China, and there was plenty of variety in veteran designer Miuccia Prada's collection. Prada has said it is now trying to turn itself around by putting out more accessible products and slimming down its extensive retail network.

Bottega Veneta marks its 50th anniversary at Milan Fashion Week

With Milan Fashion Week in full swing, the Italian label — known for its leatherwork skills — is set to unveil its spring/summer 2017 collection at a fashion show event. As well as marking the brand's 50th anniversary, it celebrates 15 years with creative director Tomas Maier at the helm. Founded in 1966 by Michele Taddei and Renzo Zengiaro, then bought by the Gucci Group in 2001, Bottega Veneta is celebrating five decades of existence, of luxury goods and of savoir-faire in 2016.
