Couture jewelry from Chanel, Dior and Balenciaga to go under the hammer in Paris

As part of its Haute Couture auction, Artcurial's new Hermès Vintage & Fashion Arts department will be selling two private collections in Paris on July 4. The sale will include a collection of haute couture jewelry — pieces created at the request of designers to accessorize their collections — and items from the catwalk collections of Elisabeth de Senneville, an influential fashion designer of the 1980s. The upcoming auction, which will be held in Paris, France, will see collectors and couture fashion fans bid for around a hundred pieces of jewelry from some of the biggest fashion houses, such as Chanel and Dior, as well as 130 items from the professional archives of Elisabeth de Senneville.

Courtney Love teams with Nasty Gal for fashion line

Rocker Courtney Love has joined forces with LA-based fashion label Nasty Gal to create a “killer collaboration, coming soon,” according to the brand. Nasty Gal quickly followed the first post with further related news, announcing a contest via its site and social media offering winners the chance to attend a launch party with Nasty Gal founder Sophia Amoruso and Love in Los Angeles on January 13. The collaboration has been touted as a perfect match for the vintage rocker and label, with both parties bringing attitude in spades, and marks a departure for Nasty Gal from its previous partnerships with brands such as For Love & Lemons and Lazy Oaf, Teva, Jeffrey Campbell, Line & Dot and OneTeaspoon and MAC Cosmetics.
