The 34-year-old former Miss World is featured on the cover of the October edition of Condé Nast Traveller India wearing a white t-shirt with the words, “REFUGEE”, “IMMIGRANT” and “OUTSIDER” crossed out in red — leaving only the word “TRAVELLER”. Condé Nast Traveller tweeted the cover photo on Oct. 7 with the tagline “Bold and fearless, @priyankachopra makes a statement on our 6th anniversary issue cover.

TOKYO (Reuters) – Japanese rock star and fashion designer Yoshiki kicked off the week-long Amazon Fashion Week Tokyo on Monday, taking to the stage to perform music as models strutted by on the runway in his futuristic kimono creations. Yoshiki, co-founder and drummer of rock band X Japan, played the piano and drums during the show for his brand Yoshikimono, which presented kimonos in metallic colors and leather in a modern twist to the traditional garment. PARIS (Reuters) – Five armed men robbed American reality TV star Kim Kardashian West at gunpoint on Monday in a Paris hotel, stealing jewelry worth several million dollars, but nobody was hurt, a police source told Reuters. The source said the attack happened around 3 a.m.. The source could not immediately say which hotel it was. CNN said earlier that Kardashian was held up by masked men in her Paris hotel room, prompting her husband, rapper Kanye West, to abruptly end a performance in New York, citing a family emergency. …

Beyonce jumps into athleisure market with Ivy Park clothing line

Recording star Beyonce launched a women's fitness clothing line on Thursday featuring bodysuits, leggings and headbands, named in part for her 4-year-old daughter, Blue Ivy. Called Ivy Park, the 200-piece active wear collection is a joint venture with British businessman Sir Philip Green, who owns the Topshop fashion chain. It will go on sale at selected Topshop and high-end department stores around the world on April 14.

David Bowie’s son not gaga over singer’s Grammy tribute

(Reuters) – Lady Gaga wowed the Grammy audience with her multimedia song and dance tribute to David Bowie but the son of the late British singer seemed less than impressed. Gaga's medley of Bowie's biggest hits was punctuated by a torrent of flashing multi-colored lights and images projected on a large screen behind her, including a closeup of her face adorned in “Aladdin Sane: makeup – a nod to one of Bowie's personas – with a spider crawling over her nose.
