Is Victoria Beckham set to receive an OBE?

British designer Victoria Beckham is allegedly set to receive an OBE for her services to the fashion industry and for her charity work. In 2011, she introduced a secondary, lower-priced line, called 'Victoria by Victoria Beckham', and November of that year saw her win 'Best Designer Brand' at the British Fashion Awards. Prior to launching her own brand, Beckham dabbled in fashion via collaborations, designing a limited-edition collection for Rock & Republic called 'VB Rocks' in 2004 and her own jeans line titled 'DVB Denim Collection' in 2007.

David Beckham and Kevin Hart team up for fresh H&M campaign

Soccer star David Beckham has joined forces again with American actor and comedian Kevin Hart, in a new campaign for Swedish fashion retailer H&M. The full commercial, which is set to go live on hm.com September 26, is set on a road trip which sees both Beckham and Hart sporting identical looks from the autumn/winter 16 collection of the new “Modern Essentials line, selected by David Beckham” — which lands in stores and online from September 29. The campaign story, once again directed by Fredrik Bond, picks up where the duo left off in their first commercial together, where Hart prepared to play the role of Beckham in a biopic film, and sees the two traveling from Los Angeles to Las Vegas, supposedly to meet financiers for a new Vegas musical.

New York Fashion Week ends on a colorful high

New York Fashion Week wrapped up on Wednesday with an all-American finale from brands including Ralph Lauren and Michael Kors. Ralph Lauren, who hit the headlines earlier this week when it was revealed the house would join the growing coterie of brands adopting the 'see-now-buy-now' retail concept, took the Wild West as his main inspiration for Spring/Summer 2017. Michael Kors is another brand transitioning to see-now-buy-now, but the designer doesn't seem to be losing sleep over it, judging by the joyful aesthetic of his colorful collection.

NYFW: Street style, feathers and bustiers ruled over the weekend

New York Fashion Week continued to surprise and delight over the past weekend, with labels including Victoria Beckham and Alexander Wang showcasing their Autumn / Winter 2016 ready-to-wear collections. Beckham made a slight departure from the loose forms seen in her recent collections and instead returned to her signature hourglass silhouette with a series of tight bustier tops and waist-revealing pencil skirts. The element of surprise came in the form of the fabrics, which included a tartan check and chequered and striped motifs.
