By Kwiyeon Ha TOKYO (Reuters) – Japanese pop girl group Pottya, who describe themselves as “chubby”, performed their hits while eleven plus size amateur models strutted along the catwalk at a new men's fashion show in Tokyo aimed at breaking down obesity taboos. The Tokyo Pochari (plump) Collection, jointly organized by a plus-size clothing brand Sakazen Shoji Co and fashion magazine, Mr Babe, featured models weighing more than 100 kg (220 pounds) walking, twirling and posing on the catwalk.

London wraps up fashion week amid Brexit uncertainty

London wrapped up its seasonal fashion week on Tuesday after five days of luxury and highstreet labels unveiling colorful and eclectic collections amid Brexit uncertainty. Holding its leg of the spring/summer 2017 shows after New York, London staged its first fashion week since Britain shocked the world by voting in June to leave the European Union. As well as runway trends, the uncertainty of how Britain's exit from the EU (Brexit) will affect the industry was also a hot topic among fashionistas.

With Brexit in spotlight, London picks up fashion show baton

A rainy London kicked off five days of catwalk shows on Friday, with questions over what consequences Brexit may have on Britain's apparel industry looming over fashionistas. Picking up the runway calendar baton from New York, London hosts its first fashion week since Britain's shock vote to leave the European Union, with a mix of luxury and high street labels unveiling their spring/summer 2017 offerings to buyers and magazine editors from around the world. A survey by the British Fashion Council (BFC) ahead of the June referendum showed that more than 90 percent of 290 designers said they wanted to remain in the bloc.
