Kate Spade exploring sale: WSJ

Shares of Kate Spade, which had a market value of $1.86 billion as of Tuesday's close, were up 16 percent at $16.83 after being halted twice. Hedge fund Caerus Investors said last month that the company would make a great acquisition candidate as its stock was trading at a discount to its peers. Sales of handbags have weakened over the past year in the United States, as people shop lesser at department stores in favor of online shopping.

Jourdan Dunn cast in latest Kate Spade New York campaign

The luxury fashion and accessories brand has enlisted a number of talented personalities from different backgrounds to front its fall 2016 campaign. For its fall 2016 campaign, Kate Spade New York has called on not one but several muses from the world of arts and entertainment. Shot in a New York studio by photographer Emma Summerton, the campaign is fronted by the British model Jourdan Dunn, the actresses and singers Zosia Mamet and Bernadette Peters, the New York City Ballet choreographer and dancer Justin Peck, the dancer Xin Ying, the playwright John Guare, and twins Elise and Juliette Marold.
