Paris Fashion Week: provisional show schedule announced

Paris is the final stop on the current world tour of fashion weeks, hosting its round of autumn/winter 2016-2017 womenswear previews from March 1-9. With shows from Chanel and Saint Laurent plus Lanvin and Dior, some of the biggest names in the business will be showcasing their latest collections in the French capital's most prestigious locations. Lucien Pellat-Finet is first on the runway on March 1, with Moon Young Hee up last on March 9.

The mane event: hair trends from Milan Men’s Fashion Week

There was an overwhelming trend for long hair on the runways, with several labels sending their models down the catwalk with luscious strands breezing out behind them. At Vivienne Westwood, the look was rocky and slightly bedraggled for an insouciant look, while over at Calvin Klein the models wore their shoulder-length locks in neat, flicky layers with lashings of shine spray and a slick center parting for added glamour. Giorgio Armani models wore theirs loose and soft.

Mr Porter and BMW launch a bespoke i3 electric car

Luxury menswear fashion site Mr Porter has teamed up with BMW i on a limited edition BMW i3 electric car. Creative teams from both BMW and Mr Porter applied the concept of made-to-measure tailoring to the vehicle, with handcrafted features including individual painting and a hand painted white accent running the length of the chassis, in a nod to the famous garment. It also comes complete with a Mr Porter Essentials Travel Kit comprising a BMW leather holdall, a London undercover umbrella, a special edition Leica camera, Cutler & Gross sunglasses, a Lock & Co bowler hat and a bespoke edition of a Phaidon City Guide Book.
