Sofia Richie has scored some serious modeling career points with the news that she is starring in the latest instalment of Michael Kors' campaign 'The Walk'. The budding fashion star and daughter of singer Lionel Richie is sharing the campaign with three other 'It' girls — model Ming Xi and streetstyle stars and DJs Simi and Haze Khadra. The trendsetters were snapped in various locations across New York City by streetstyle chronicler Tommy Ton, sporting pieces from the label's Holiday 2016 ready-to-wear collection and a curated selection of key Michael Kors handbags from the season.

Flirty designs at Kors, nature an inspiration for Marchesa at New York shows

Designer Michael Kors opted for flirty skirts and defined waistlines at his romantic New York Fashion Week show while label Marchesa paid tribute to nature and the colors of the day for its spring/summer 2017 collection. With singer Rufus Wainwright performing live, Kors sent models down the catwalk in designs that had strong shoulders and whittled waists in a color palette of tangerine, sand, navy and aquamarine. At Marchesa, designer duo Georgina Chapman and Keren Craig presented an airy, feminine line they said was inspired by “the journey of the day”.

The all-American fashion label is moving into the fast lane with the deal, which it hopes will accelerate its growing image as a men's lifestyle brand. As the team's official lifestyle partner, Michael Kors branding will feature prominently on the drivers' overalls and the McLaren-Honda MP4-31 car, which is being driven in the 2016 FIA Formula 1 World Championship by Fernando Alonso and Jenson Button. The fashion house has created a limited-edition men's leather jacket to mark the strategic move, featuring both the Michael Kors and McLaren logos, as well as a limited-edition plaque with each piece's unique production number.
