Actor Tom Sizemore charged with domestic abuse

By Steve Gorman LOS ANGELES (Reuters) – Actor Tom Sizemore, who co-starred in the films “Saving Private Ryan” and “Black Hawk Down” before he was convicted in 2003 of assaulting ex-girlfriend Heidi Fleiss, has been charged with domestic abuse stemming from an arrest in July. Sizemore, 54, faces one count each of three misdemeanors – abuse of an intimate partner, battery of an intimate partner and making terrorist threats – all punishable by up to a year in jail, the Los Angeles City Attorney's Office said on Wednesday.

Items from late comedian Joan Rivers’ New York home up for auction

Fans of the late Joan Rivers will have the chance to buy items from the acerbic comedian's New York home at an auction later this year, auctioneers Christie's said on Tuesday. Pieces of art, jewelry, furniture and clothing will be among the 200-plus lots from Rivers' Manhattan penthouse on sale June 22, with starting bids from $500 to $200,000. Rivers, known for her no-holds-barred comedy, died in 2014 aged 81 following complications during an outpatient medical procedure.
