Fashion collaborations to watch out for in 2017

From Gigi Hadid and Tommy Hilfiger to Rihanna and Manolo Blahnik, 2016 was a generous year when it came to high-profile fashion collaborations. Supermodel of the moment Bella Hadid is working on her debut jewelry collection with LA brand Chrome Hearts. Details are being kept strictly under wraps, and an official release date has yet to be announced, but the house is known for unique, rock-and-roll-inspired pieces, so we can expect something urban and edgy.

Gigi Hadid’s top model moments of 2016

The results are in, and Gigi Hadid has been officially crowned 'International Model' of the year at the 2016 Fashion Awards, retaining her place at the very top of the fashion food chain. Having been somewhat typecast as a 'curvy' blonde (by supermodel standards at least), Gigi sent shockwaves rippling through the fashion world when she stepped out onto the Balmain Fall/Winter 2016 catwalk as a brunette for Paris Fashion Week. Starring in Tommy Hilfiger's fragrance campaign 'The Girl' in July, Gigi showed off her playful side, as well as offering a glimpse of the nautical theme that would run through her debut fashion collection, TommyxGigi, launched with the designer in September.

HP Partners with Tommy Hilfiger, Juicy for ‘Smarter’ Watches

HP has just expanded its internet of things platform to power new “smarter” watches from several brands under the Movado umbrella, including Coach, Hugo Boss, Juicy Couture, Tommy Hilfiger and Scuderia Ferrari. Most of the watches, such as the Tommy Hilfiger model I checked out, include a hidden OLED display that lights up when you have an alert. The Juicy Couture model opts for an LED instead, so you just get a flashing light paired with haptic vibrations.
