Italian fashion entrepreneur Ciro Paone is set to be honored at the upcoming edition of Pitti Immagine Uomo. The founder of the luxury ready-to-wear and made-to-measure label Kiton will be the subject of a dedicated exhibition project, with fashion journalist Angelo Flaccavento at the helm as Artistic Director. “We at Pitti Immagine have always found Ciro Paone to be representative of friendliness, elegance, vision, and courage,” says Raffaello Napoleone, CEO of Pitti Immagine.

Tommy Hilfiger and Gigi Hadid ask the Internet to vote for pieces in their upcoming collection

Following the success of her debut collection for Tommy Hilfiger, Gigi Hadid is once again collaborating with the fashion brand — and this time she's getting the general public involved. The label has launched a social media initiative captioned “Tommy x Gigi x You,” inviting Instagram and Twitter users to vote on their favorite pieces from the upcoming Spring/Summer 2017 collection. According to WWD, the pieces with the most votes will be selected to appear in a February 2017 fashion show, before going on sale immediately afterwards.

Pitti Immagine Uomo unveils special guests for upcoming show

Fashion designer Paul Smith is set to launch his new PS by Paul Smith collection at the upcoming menswear event Pitti Immagine Uomo 91. The UK designer, whose aesthetic blends British heritage and pop inspiration, will unveil his new contemporary line in the context of his role as Special Guest at the trade show, which takes place in Florence in January. Belgian designer Tim Coppens has been selected as Menswear Guest Designer and is set to use the opportunity as the European premiere of his Fall/Winter 2017 menswear collection.

The Spring/Summer 2017 ready-to-wear shows have finally wrapped up, and it's time to examine the key trends for the upcoming season. Nicholas K crafted them into miniature 1990s-style halter tops in New York, while Alexander Wang made them one of the main features of his collection, even cropping 1980s-style sweatshirts to fit in with the trend. The Organizing Committee for the Rio 2016 Olympics has teamed with the famous Brazilian footwear brand for a special collection of flip-flops in the colors and patterns of the upcoming Games. Swimwear brand Beliza has embraced the spirit of Rio 2016 with gusto this summer, creating an elastane triangle bikini top with yellow and green cups and gold elastic, matched with green briefs with gold elastic on the sides.

Resort fashion goes wild for prints
