New ‘affordable couture’ website launches at Paris Couture Week

A new London-based fashion platform offering couture at “democratic prices” has debuted on the Paris Couture Week circuit, in line with the global launch of its e-commerce site. Couturissimo, designed by Asian Couture Federation (ACF) designer members Indonesia's Sebastian Gunawan and Dubai-based Filipino couturier Michael Cinco, offers limited-edition pieces from a changing roster of designers at accessible prices ranging from 170 to 800 euros. Its new website, which was celebrated via an event in the Jardins des Tuileries last night, according to fashion publication WWD, will soon add a virtual fitting room, “where customers can create their own avatar based on their measurements to test garment fits,” announced co-creative director Livia Stoianova of label On Aura Tout Vu.

Fashion houses making the official lineup — whether as permanent or guest members — must follow a certain number of rules to be able to show off their designs.

Versus Versace reveals an urban, military inspired collection for autumn/winter 2016

Anthony Vaccarello, creative director of Versace's sister line, added a rebellious touch to the collection's urban vibe for autumn/winter 2016. While keeping the codes of the Versus line, this new collection brings a gritty, even rebellious edge to the label's autumn/winter looks, in a range of urban, sporty, sometimes boyish ensembles. It's this toughness that we capture in the new Versus Versace collection — the individual attitude of the new generation,” explains Donatella Versace.
