Tommy Hilfiger is taking to the beach for his Spring/Summer 2017 fashion show, and he could be bringing Gigi Hadid along for the ride. The US designer is shunning New York Fashion Week for Venice Beach, Los Angeles, where he will host 'TommyNow Spring 17' on February 8, he has confirmed. The show will feature both his 'Hilfiger Collection' and the second instalment of the 'TommyXGigi' collaborative capsule created with supermodel Gigi.

Calvin Klein to merge women’s and men’s collections for 2017 fall show

Calvin Klein will show its men's and women's collections together at New York Fashion Week reports WWD. The fall 2017 runway show will take place on February 10 at 10 am and will feature both Calvin Klein's men's and women's ready-to-wear and accessories. The highly anticipated collection will be the first from new chief creative director Raf Simons, who moved to the brand in August after heading up French fashion house Dior.

Raf Simons has a new American dream

The Belgian designer announced plans last week to show his Fall/Winter 2017 men's collection at New York Fashion Week: Men's next February, making it the brand's debut on the city's catwalks. “Raf is one of the most influential designers on the international fashion stage,” said Steven Kolb, President and CEO of the Council of Fashion Designers of America (CFDA). Perhaps Simons is taking a more US-focused approach to fashion following his appointment as chief creative officer at one of the country's most renowned fashion houses, Calvin Klein, which was announced in August.

Arab Fashion Week closes with Warhol-inspired designs

French-Lebanese designer Ingie Chalhoub has closed a busy Arab Fashion Week with a collection inspired by American pop art icon Andy Warhol. “My design is all about the Parisian chic woman who is travelling all over the world,” Chalhoub told AFP after the show late Monday at a luxurious Dubai hotel. “This collection was mostly inspired by an exhibition I saw in Paris from Andy Warhol and as I'm very fond of him I wanted to take back his drawings and his paintings and to make out of them some fabrics and some designs,” she said.

Arab Fashion Week flaunts ‘ready couture’ in Dubai

It is the first time that a fashion week has been dedicated to the form, described by organisers as a blend of haute couture and ready-to-wear or pret-a-porter. In Paris, we celebrate high-end haute couture,” said Jacob Abrian, the head of the Dubai-based Arab Fashion Council (AFC). In Dubai and the Arab world, “we want to be innovative”, he said, with off-the-rack clothing that is tailored to haute couture standards and can be customised.
