Vaccarello goes hell for leather at Saint Laurent

Anthony Vaccarello made his name with unfeasibly small and sexy dresses, and in his hugely anticipated debut for Saint Laurent late Tuesday at Paris fashion week, the Belgian designer kept his nose clean and his skirts short. If the directors of the iconic French brand, whose profits had rocketed to record levels under Hedi Slimane, were worried his replacement might rip up the magic formula, they can rest easy. For Vaccarello has far from turned his back on Slimane's expensively grungy rock star chic.

The one-piece swimsuit gets a glam reboot for summer 2016

In fact, after being relegated to the back of the wardrobe, this bathing suit is set to splash onto the scene as a must-have for summer 2016. Star of the beaches until the 1960s, the one-piece swimsuit fell slowly out of fashion as the iconic bikini, then later the monokini, revolutionized women's swimwear. Made popular by stars of the day like Brigitte Bardot and Ursula Andress, the bikini's success was boosted as women's liberation movements gained ground.

Yves Saint Laurent updates L’Homme with a fresh new flanker

Yves Saint Laurent has a new version of the iconic “L'Homme” fragrance in store for spring, revealing a fresh, modern side to masculinity for 2016. Launched in 2006, the original “L'Homme” fragrance has already seen its share of flankers, including 2013's “L'Homme Intense.” Yves Saint Laurent is now opening a new chapter in the scent's history with “L'Homme Ultime.” This revamped variation of the original “L'Homme” is inspired by a new, modern take on masculinity, channeling an elegant, mysterious, authentic, charismatic and refined state of mind. Developed by a trio of perfumers — Anne Flipo, Dominique Ropion and Juliette Karagueuzoglou — this aromatic woody scent is spiced with notes of ginger and cardamom seed, with a zest of grapefruit essence.

Leather re-emerges for Fall-Winter 2015-2016

If you can only keep one thing in mind from the Fall-Winter 2015-2016 runway trends, it should be leather, the must-have material for the season. Leather has always been associated with rock music, particularly in the form of the iconic leather jacket, and it has never really left women's wardrobes in ready-to-wear and accessories. This comeback is also due to the strong 1970s trend which could still be seen on the catwalks in the Fall-Winter 2015-2016 collections.
