On Wednesday, December 21, Givenchy unveiled the first shots of its S/S 2017 ad campaign which plays with juxtapositions of style, age, and decor: the French fashion house shows us its creativity extends to all men and women. The Italian model Vittoria Ceretti's star has been rising for several seasons now, with a raft of big fashion and beauty brands interested in working with her. In addition to this campaign for Givenchy, she recently featured in photo shoots for Alberta Ferretti and Saint Laurent, and has done catwalk work for Louis Vuitton, Miu Miu, Chanel and Valentino's S/S 2017 collections.

What to look out for at Paris fashion week

Saint Laurent, Dior and Lanvin all have new artistic directors who will be putting on their first shows in their new roles. With more than 90 runway shows and dozens more presentations behind closed doors over nine days, the spring-summer ready to wear collections promise to be the most scrutinised for some time. How will Anthony Vaccarello face up to the massive challenge of filling Hedi Slimane's Chelsea boots at Saint Laurent is the question on many fashionistas' lips.

50 shades of blue for F/W 2016

Electric blue, pale blue, turquoise, navy and lavender: the fashion houses are giving all shades of this cool color pride of place in their F/W 2016 collections. Womenswear will be in audaciously vibrant colors, including electric blue, which is making a big comeback. Louis Vuitton put together a range of shades (in patchwork and other forms), Saint Laurent used it for its fur coats, shoes and dresses in very retro rock'n'roll style, and Courrèges chose it for a jumpsuit with touches of white.

Designs revealed for new Yves Saint Laurent museum in Marrakesh, Morocco

Architectural designs by French firm Studio KO have been released for the upcoming museum dedicated to designer Yves Saint Laurent and his work, the “mYSLm” (Musée Yves Saint Laurent Marrakech). Yves Saint Laurent had a long and public love affair with Morocco, buying the Jardin Majorelle gardens in 1980 with his life and business partner Pierre Bergé, after falling in love with the city of Marrakesh in 1966. From Autumn 2017, a new museum will accompany the garden on the Rue Yves Saint Laurent outside the medina walls of Marrakesh.

Dior struggles to find the right fit in its search for a designer

Christian Dior , one of the world's biggest and most famous fashion brands, is struggling to find a creative director more than six months after the abrupt departure of Raf Simons. People familiar with the discussions say part of the reason his seat is still vacant is the limited control offered by the 70-year-old label compared with similar roles at rivals such as Yves Saint Laurent, Gucci and Coach. “Often when a creative director leaves, it is because he did not get enough control,” said one fashion communications guru who has worked for big brands including Givenchy, and who declined to be named.
