Jacquemus makes its mark at Paris Fashion Week

It may have only been showing on the official schedule for a few years, but Jacquemus is fast becoming one of the most intriguing brands to show at Paris Fashion Week. The label, founded by Simon Porte Jacquemus and known for its poetic, abstract approach to ready-to-wear, took the spirit of the south of France as the departure point for its Spring/Summer 2017 catwalk show on Tuesday. Titled 'Les Santons de Provence', the show was a romantic and nostalgic ode to a simpler life, but also offered a modern and free-spirited take on tradition.

Five key trends from Milan Fashion Week

After New York and London, Milan revealed its trends for the spring/summer 2017 season with a week of shows splashed with color, and where artisanal skills and craftsmanship took center stage. These are the top beauty trends to come out of Milan Fashion Week

Milan Fashion Week brought a lightning bolt of color and fun to the Spring/Summer 2017 shows — a refreshing change after the conservative and low-key approach to the season that we saw in New York. Karl Lagerfeld fed the trend for fun and games at Fendi, where Gigi Hadid and the rest of the models sported winged eyeliner and a glittery pout that resulted in a striking, sequin-like effect. Miniature top knots made things interesting at Diesel Black Gold, while Fendi debuted pigtails and ruler-straight schoolgirl bangs and pastel hair shades kept things sweet at Ermanno Scervino.

Dolce & Gabbana mixes tropics with traditions at Milan fashion show

By Giulia Segreti MILAN (Reuters) – Italian fashion brand Dolce & Gabbana transported guests to a warm and busy Italian street setting for their spring/summer 17 catwalk show on Sunday, in one of the most flamboyant displays of Milan fashion week. A big red “Tropico Italiano” sign hanging from the ceiling, banana trees, coconuts and white sand contrasted the ambience of an Italian village festival as soon as lights went off and young street dancers hit the catwalk, moving to the beat of tarantella folk music. The loud and bright collection by Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana, known for their rich and embellished looks, carried all the typical elements of their style throughout the years, in a jubilation of gold, laces, embroidery, sequins, flowers, Madonnas, food, animal prints and lights.
