To show off its latest collection, Versace has picked British model Edie Campbell and German model Anna Ewers, both of whom featured in the label's last catwalk show. “This is a collection about the dynamic moment and the freedom of the Versace life,” explains Donatella Versace, the label's artistic director, who also designed the campaign.

Why ‘Greenery’ is set to be the key word in fashion this spring

If you're not yet familiar with the word ‘Greenery' in fashion terms, then you're about to be. Greenery is described as “a fresh and zesty yellow-green shade that evokes the first days of spring when nature's greens revive, restore and renew.” This was certainly one of the major themes of the SS17 shows, where all things botanical reigned supreme. The shade could be seen at Balenciaga, where it was worked into a horticultural-themed jumpsuit, and at Louis Vuitton, where it formed the basis of a head-to-toe asymmetrical cut-out trouser suit with modern black accents.

DKNY creative directors Maxwell Osborne and Dao-Yi Chow are to leave the, brand reports WWD. The pair will exit the label at the end of the year in order to concentrate on their own brand Public School. The news comes not long after the sale of DKNY and its parent company Donna Karan International (DKI) to G-III Apparel Group, with the co-creative directors commenting in a statement, “Given the company sale and subsequent change in strategies, we have decided to step down and focus on our own business Public School.

Bottega Veneta to combine men’s and womenswear shows

Luxury design house Bottega Veneta has announced that going forward it will combine its menswear and womenswear ready-to-wear shows reports British Vogue. The change is set to take place in February at the brand's Milan Fashion Week autumn/winter 2017 womenswear show. The news comes after many other design houses have decided to shake up their schedules, with DSquared2 and Burberry also now opting for co-ed collections combining both menswear and womenswear.

Fabric trends for spring/summer 2017: lamé, tulle, nylon and more

Classic staples like cotton, linen, wool, denim, knits, silk and synthetic materials will evidently be on the agenda this spring. At the last round of catwalk shows, held fall 2016, designers showcased creations made with more unusual materials or with seasonal updates of fabrics more often associated with winter. TOKYO (Reuters) – Japanese rock star and fashion designer Yoshiki kicked off the week-long Amazon Fashion Week Tokyo on Monday, taking to the stage to perform music as models strutted by on the runway in his futuristic kimono creations. Yoshiki, co-founder and drummer of rock band X Japan, played the piano and drums during the show for his brand Yoshikimono, which presented kimonos in metallic colors and leather in a modern twist to the traditional garment.
