PARIS (Reuters) – Rainbows, flowers and birds dominated Manish Arora's colorful collection at Paris Fashion Week on Thursday, with the Indian designer offering plenty of vibrant prints and intricate embroidery for women next spring. Models strutted down the catwalk in an array of tops, skirts, trousers and dresses adorned with patterns of fruit, flowers, flamingos, parrots, seahorses and fish. PARIS (Reuters) – Luxury materials, exquisite craftsmanship and sweeping dresses take center stage at the Paris haute couture fashion shows this week, where designer brands show their autumn collections. Italian luxury label Versace was among the first, kicking off its Atelier Versace show on Sunday evening with belted cashmere coats worn over satin dresses. Models strutted down the catwalk in off-the-shoulder or asymmetric draped gowns, some worn with slim trousers. Other dresses had cut-out features as well as plenty of pleats for the evening. …

Armani seeks to entice fashionistas in ‘key market’ Russia

Renowned Italian designer Giorgio Armani sought to entice Moscow fashionistas with his latest creations on a visit to Russia amid weaker demand globally for luxury goods. In his first visit to Moscow since 2009, the 81-year old fashion veteran presented and signed copies of his autobiography as well as hosted a catwalk show of his men's and women's autumn/winter 2016/2017 collections. Models strutted down the catwalk in a former electric cable factory in the Russian capital and Armani closed the Thursday show holding a giant Russian nesting doll.

Versace eyes glam urban look for next winter

Italian designer house Versace pictured a bold and energetic urban look for women next fall, presenting strong tailored pieces and plenty of luxurious coats for fashionistas' wardrobes. Designer Donatella Versace put zips on outerwear, knit dresses, ribbed tops and boots for her autumn/winter 2016 collection show as part of Milan Fashion Week on Friday night. Models, which included big catwalk names Gigi Hadid and Kendall Jenner, strutted down the catwalk in belted coats with leather detailing, biker jackets, slim trousers that flared above the ankle and a selection of shirts, including in printed silk.

Taiwan students present creations at Berlin Fashion Week

BERLIN – Students of Taiwan’s Shih Chien university showcased their creative work at Berlin Fashion Week, presenting a range of colorful clothing.  The various designs were combined under the name “Praxes” for the Friday fashion show and models strutted down the catwalk in printed silk jackets, studded corsets, ponchos as well as head pieces that looked like face guards.
