Benetton teams with designer Stella Jean for first capsule collection

United Colors of Benetton has revealed more about its first collaboration with a fashion designer, signing up Stella Jean to create a knitwear-focused winter capsule collection. In the space of just a few years, Stella Jean, who lives and works in Rome, Italy, has become a key figure in the fashion world. A former protégé of Giorgio Armani, the designer skillfully combines Italian style and expertise with African and Caribbean inspirations, with particular focus on Haitian culture.

Benetton to launch new ‘Made In Italy’ fashion line

Global fashion brand Benetton is on track to launch a new “Made in Italy” line layer this year, in a bid to bring the company back to its roots and “refocus on its main expertise”. The collection, to be made in Treviso and titled “TV 31100” in a nod to the city's postal code, is slated for a November debut, with the first designs to be a series of super light knits, crafted from a blend of merino wool and cashmere.
