Luxury French shoe designer Robert Clergerie is teaming up with the Parisian fashion house Sonia Rykiel on a new capsule collection. Sonia Rykiel Artistic Director Julie de Libran has given the shoe three different looks using velvet, glitter and rhinestones.

H&M nabs M.I.A. for 1,000 ton recycling campaign

As World Recycling Week becons in April, fashion retailer H&M is joining forces with singer-songwriter M.I.A. for the latest round of its recycling initiative. The clothing giant launched a Garment Collecting program in 2013 and, for 2016, is targeting the agglomeration of 1,000 tonnes of clothes, with an M.I.A. music video to generate enthusiasm for the cause. “Hopefully, garment collecting will become a natural part of fashion,” the outlet proposed in a March 15 announcement, confirming that M.I.A.'s music video will be given an exclusive April 11 reveal on hm.com.

Dior sets May date for London show

A May 31 show at Blenheim Palace could mark a debut for Dior's new Creative Director. With Raf Simons having vacated the Creative Director's position in October 2015, Jonathan Saunders is said to be the Dior pick for Simons' successor. With Saunders having left Pollini in December 2015, as well as surrendering his own well known brand, talk is that he's accepted a position at Dior.

Lanvin hires Bouchra Jarrar to replace Elbaz as designer

By Astrid Wendlandt PARIS (Reuters) – Lanvin has hired Bouchra Jarrar as its new designer five months after the abrupt dismissal of Alber Elbaz caused uncertainty about the future of France's oldest fashion house. Paris-born of Moroccan descent, Jarrar, 45, is known for her black and white neo-classic outfits and feminine tuxedo jackets. Previously, Jarrar worked closely for a decade with former Balenciaga designer, Nicolas Ghesquiere, who is now at LVMH's Louis Vuitton, and at Christian Lacroix Couture.
