Has Adidas signed up Alexander Wang?

The designer, known for his attitude-laden urban street style aesthetic, is set to have been working with the brand on a ready-to-wear collection, WWD reports. The collaboration, although unconfirmed by both parties, is expected be revealed this fall during New York Fashion Week, following Wang's runway show on September 10. The partnership, if true, would be in keeping with Adidas's strategy to merge high fashion with its sporty DNA over recent years — an initiative that was kickstarted back in 2004 when Stella McCartney joined forces with the brand to create what has become a fruitful high-end sportswear line.

Colour is power for brightly-dressed Queen

Exhibits at the Buckingham Palace show range from her christening gown to the eye-catching bright green wool-crepe and silk dress she wore at one of her 90th birthday celebrations earlier this year. The queen's wedding dress from 1947 and the one she wore at her coronation in 1953 are also exhibited together for the first time in “Fashioning a Reign: 90 Years of Style from the Queen's Wardrobe”. “The Queen is well-known for block colour dressing using vivid and bold colours to ensure she is easily visible on important occasions,” Caroline De Guitaut, the exhibition's curator, told reporters.
