Three leading Hong Kong designers sent a riot of color and tailoring down the New York runway in a push to broaden their US client base and put the tiny territory more firmly on the global fashion map. The catwalk show at Moynihan Station, one block from Madison Square Garden, followed by a pop-up showroom in Soho marks the first time in 12 years that the Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC) is sending local designers to take part in New York's fashion week.

Alexander McQueen returning to London Fashion Week

British label Alexander McQueen will present its Fall/Winter 2016 collection at London Fashion Week in February, one of many highlights of the LFW schedule, which was revealed Thursday. The London-based house usually shows in Paris, and its return to its home city will be for one season only, according to the brand. The label's announcement was made as the British Fashion Council revealed the official schedule for London Fashion Week, which runs from February 19-23.

Dior’s upcoming collections to be designed by in-house team

In the wake of Raf Simons' departure as creative director of Dior, the French fashion house has revealed that its next two collections will be designed by its in-house team. The in-house studio will undertake the spring 2016 couture collection, coming to the runway in January, as well as the fall 2016 ready-to-wear line, a Dior spokersperson confirmed to WWD.

British Fashion Council reveals the hottest new menswear talent for AW16

The British Fashion Council (BFC) has revealed the list of UK menswear labels it will be championing for Autumn/Winter 2016. Ten upcoming brands have been selected under the 'Newgen Men' banner, sponsored by Topman, enabling them to showcase their Autumn/Winter 2016 collections at London Collections Men (LCM) in January next year. This year English designer Liam Hodges sees himself featured on the list for the first time.

Karl Lagerfeld honored by the British Fashion Council with Outstanding Achievement Award

Karl Lagerfeld is set to achieve the Outstanding Achievement Award at the 2015 British Fashion Awards this month. The designer, who helms the luxury fashion houses Chanel and Fendi, as well as his own label Karl Lagerfeld, will be awarded the honor for his “unrivalled contribution to the fashion industry” at the event's London ceremony on November 23, the British Fashion Council (BFC) has revealed. With a career spanning over five decades, Lagerfeld is particularly famous for his tenure at Chanel, which has transformed the classic French house into a global superbrand.
