Emporio Armani and Gucci explore their possibilities at Milan menswear fashion week

Travel and identity were at the heart of the menswear Spring/Summer 2017 shows during Milan fashion week on Monday. Emporio Armani led the way with a spirited collection that focused on DNA and individuality, featuring giant fingerprint patterns that appeared on everything from t-shirts to jackets. The Italian designer also jazzed up his typically neutral color palette, and although the opening looks were a haze of sophisticated blues, greens and neutrals, the show also featured glimpses of postbox red and softer salmon pink.

Anthony Vaccarello continues to tease with mysterious Saint Laurent campaign

Anthony Vaccarello has taken to Instagram once more for the second phase of his teasing debut Saint Laurent campaign. The Belgian designer, who was named creative director of the house in April, following Hedi Slimane's departure, has been stirring up interest in his debut collection for the Kering label with a series of mysterious social media posts. The initial phase of the secretive campaign consisted of three video clips that gave no indication of what we can expect from Saint Laurent's clothes, and the latest instalment is not very different.

Music meets fashion in LA as Stella McCartney shows pre-fall line

Music, celebrities and fashion came together in Los Angeles on Tuesday as British designer Stella McCartney presented her autumn 2016 collection amid the Hollywood awards season buzz. Models danced between rows of records and CDs at Hollywood's landmark Amoeba Music store, dressed in “fur-free fur” or embroidered coats and jackets adorned in cat motifs and leopard and tiger prints. Known for her neutral color palettes, McCartney's pre-fall line came in cream and earthy tones with dabs of indigo, orange and pink.
