Alexa Chung is launching her own fashion label

Alexa Chung has been designing for some time, but the star is now branching out on her own with the launch of her debut fashion label. The British style icon will act as the Creative Director for Alexachung, set to debut in May 2017, reports The Business of Fashion (BoF). The contemporary ready-to-wear line will go on sale initially at department stores including Selfridges, Galeries Lafayette and Matchesfashion.com, as well as via its own online retail site.

Alexa Chung’s Marks & Spencer Collection Makes Retro Pieces Modern

Additional key pieces from Archive by Alexa include a floral “Misty Dress,” ruffled tops, silky slips and an on-point pleated “Effie” midi skirt. The collection is accompanied by a campaign styled and modeled by Chung herself and shot by photographer Tom Craig, sees Alexa herself taking creative ownership of the mood and direction.

A new series of design collaborations is being launched by high street retailer Marks & Spencer, with three-time British Style Award winner Alexa Chung kicking off the affair. The collection, called Archive by Alexa, comprises a 31-piece line which is, as the name implies, based on archival selections from the M&S back catalogue. Prices range from £19.50 ($28) to £89 ($129), reports WWD, with the items going on sale in Marks & Spencer retail locations as well as through its website.
