Crop tops, baggy pants and statement sleeves: the tailoring trends for Spring/Summer 2017

The Spring/Summer 2017 ready-to-wear shows have finally wrapped up, and it's time to examine the key trends for the upcoming season. Nicholas K crafted them into miniature 1990s-style halter tops in New York, while Alexander Wang made them one of the main features of his collection, even cropping 1980s-style sweatshirts to fit in with the trend. Five key ready-to-wear trends for fall 2016

Drawing on the fall/winter 2016 catwalk collections, the upcoming season's major womenswear trends encompass sensuality and ramped-up femininity, with pleats, sheer fabrics and bared shoulders. This translates to long-length pieces with slits or sheer finishes, cinched waists, bared shoulders and fluid, floaty fabrics. Summer 2016's must-have pleated skirt has given designers ideas, carrying the trend through to the fall/winter 2016 season.

This trend is getting stronger every year, partly due to the large number of summer festivals including fashionista favorite Coachella. The trend was best represented at the Chloé show last October, as part of Spring-Summer 2016 Fashion Week.

This Is the Easiest Way to Hack a Next-Level Braid 2 Ways

This has been a rough year for the bobby pin.
