Why Land’s End Fashionista CEO Failed

Lands' End catalogs started showing up with skinny models adorning the cover, wearing clothes that looked decidedly un-frumpy and un-boxy — in other words, very un-Lands' End. Marchionni came to Lands' End in February 2015 from Dolce&Gabbana USA, where she was president. Lands' End began in 1963 in Chicago when Gary Comer, an avid sailor, opened Lands' End Yacht Stores, Inc. The following year the company published its first catalog.

Bella Hadid took a tumble on the runway during New York Fashion Week

We've all felt that moment of utter panic: You trip and see the ground quickly coming closer to your face and don't quite know what to do about it.  Bella Hadid experienced that firsthand during her walk down the runway when she fell while modeling the latest from Michael Kors during New York Fashion Week. SEE ALSO: Bella Hadid bares it all in Vogue Paris As embarrassing as any encounter with the ground is, Hadid seemed to fall with the grace of, well, a supermodel.  Bella Hadid on the catwalk Michael Kors show, Spring Summer 2017, New York Fashion Week, USA – 14 Sep 2016 Image: Matt Baron/BEI/Shutterstock Despite the setback, she seems to have a good attitude about the tumble and was not afraid to poke fun of herself with a few emojis on Instagram.  Michael Kors today❤️ Thank you so much for having me in the show @michaelkors @johndavidpfeiffer ❤️ (seconds before ) A video posted by Bella Hadid (@bellahadid) on Sep 14, 2016 at 11:23am PDT “Guys I'm a professional breakdancer now,” she also tweeted. “I forgot to tell you.” Guys I'm a professional break dancer now I forgot to tell u — Bella Hadid (@bellahadid) September 15, 2016

Speedo, Ralph Lauren drop Lochte after Rio scandal

Embattled star Olympic swimmer Ryan Lochte lost two major endorsement deals on Monday following his false claim that he had been robbed at gunpoint in Rio, with Speedo and Ralph Lauren pulling the plug. Both the global swimwear brand and the US fashion label said they were ending their relationships with the 32-year-old Lochte as his actions had not reflected the “values” they wish to promote. Lochte claimed he and three of his teammates — all of them gold medal winners in Rio — were mugged by robbers pretending to be police after a night out, but the story was quickly discredited by other witness testimony and surveillance video.

Speedo, Ralph Lauren drop Ryan Lochte after Rio incident

Swimwear maker Speedo and luxury retailer Ralph Lauren Corp ended their sponsorship contracts with Ryan Lochte, days after the U.S. swimmer admitted to exaggerating his story about being robbed at gunpoint in Rio during the Olympics. The incident embarrassed the host city, angered the local police and government and dominated news coverage of South America's first Olympics, leading the U.S. Olympic Committee to issue an apology. “I over-exaggerated what was happening to me.” Within hours of the Games coming to a close, Speedo USA issued a statement saying it would drop Lochte as one of its endorsers, while Ralph Lauren said it would not be renewing its contract with the swimmer.

The Ryan Lochte Fallout Continues As Speedo And Ralph Lauren End Their Sponsorship

Ryan Lochte is plum out of luck when it comes to his sponsorship deal with Speedo, as the banana hammock company announced Monday that they will no longer support the swimmer after his shenanigans at the Rio Olympics. You now think of Speedo as the socially conscious company and not just the company that makes taking your kids to the beach an uncomfortable endeavor. NBC News looked at all of Lochte’s sponsorships and should they all drop him, he could lose millions of dollars, which is a shocking figure for those of us that only think about Lochte for one week every four years.

Versace goes coast to coast with urban yet romantic Resort 2017 collection

The Italian fashion house has joined a host of luxury brands in unveiling the shape of its pre-spring 2017 collection. The starting point for this new collection from Donatella Versace is an imaginary coast-to-coast road trip in the USA, traveling from city to sunshine via plains and flower-filled prairies. The result is a collection heavy on urban pieces, lifted with hints of vibrant, electric color, and with softer pieces finished with floral motifs.
