Watch This Manicure Transform Into a Cozy Cable-Knit Sweater

Staples of the season: mulled wine and cozy sweaters, right?  Given Los Angeles doesn’t ever get remotely close to frigid temperatures, we tend to deal with a massive case of FOMO when we see the rest of the country wearing festive cable-knits. Our solution? Creating one on our nails, obviously.

Chanel has a spring in its step as Lagerfeld unveils breezy couture collection

Stepping lightly down the grassy runway, Karl Lagerfeld's doll-like models were a picture of dewy and youthful elegance, from their Princess Leia-like hairstyles to the glossy black tips of their monochrome pumps. This being Chanel, the show started with the tweed suits —  chic two-pieces comprising elongated midi skirts cut close to the body and cropped double-breasted jackets with puffed sleeves for contrast. There were dress coats and trouser suits, all woven from a tasteful palette of creams, golds, peaches and dusky greys, with brooches scattered around for embellishment.

Christian Dior puts on a dreamy display for first couture collection without Raf Simons

When Raf Simons announced in October that he would be leaving Christian Dior after more than three years as creative director, it was left to the luxury French house's creative team to pick up the pieces and stitch them into a Spring 2016 Haute Couture collection that would live up to its famous name. Presented Monday in Paris, that collection struck the perfect balance between the elegant and the risqué, featuring the house's signature lightness of touch and sensual approach to women's fashion.

Schiaparelli‬ lays out a feast and Dice Kayek weaves a pretty tale at Haute Couture week

The couture house of ‪Schiaparelli‬ knows how to tickle the senses, and its Spring 2015 runway show on Monday went so far as involving the tastebuds. There were a handful of boxy jackets and knee-length skirts on show, but the majority of the collection was dominated by full-length, diaphanous dresses that were both ethereal — thanks to their hazy finish and skimming structure — and modern, thanks to the tongue-in-cheek food references that littered the designs and nodded to the motifs that Elsa Schiaparelli was known for in the 1930s, such as the Lobster dress created with Surrealist artist Salvador Dali.

One of the coolest ‘dos we spotted last night was on Rooney Mara. She rocked a braid-in-a-braid (a braid-ception of sorts, if you will) style. While this style looks pretty complex, if you break it down step-by-step, it’s actually super simple and a great option for the gal who wants a modern style without a ton of fuss.
