Relaxnews caught up with Liu Wen to find out what fashion and beauty essentials will be slipping into her suitcase this summer, and what vacay makeup looks the season has in store. It really depends on where I'm going… a mix of beachwear, casual, and glamorous is probably best — whatever feels most comfortable.

New ‘affordable couture’ website launches at Paris Couture Week

A new London-based fashion platform offering couture at “democratic prices” has debuted on the Paris Couture Week circuit, in line with the global launch of its e-commerce site. Couturissimo, designed by Asian Couture Federation (ACF) designer members Indonesia's Sebastian Gunawan and Dubai-based Filipino couturier Michael Cinco, offers limited-edition pieces from a changing roster of designers at accessible prices ranging from 170 to 800 euros. Its new website, which was celebrated via an event in the Jardins des Tuileries last night, according to fashion publication WWD, will soon add a virtual fitting room, “where customers can create their own avatar based on their measurements to test garment fits,” announced co-creative director Livia Stoianova of label On Aura Tout Vu.

Luxury brands show autumn creations at Paris haute couture week

PARIS (Reuters) – Luxury materials, exquisite craftsmanship and sweeping dresses take center stage at the Paris haute couture fashion shows this week, where designer brands show their autumn collections. Italian luxury label Versace was among the first, kicking off its Atelier Versace show on Sunday evening with belted cashmere coats worn over satin dresses. Models strutted down the catwalk in off-the-shoulder or asymmetric draped gowns, some worn with slim trousers. Other dresses had cut-out features as well as plenty of pleats for the evening. …

Dolce & Gabbana is bringing its fashion to the streets. The Italian fashion house has released the images for its Autumn/Winter 2016 campaign, with the everyday citizens of Naples taking on a starring role. The brand called in photojournalist Franco Pagetti to shoot the campaign in the historical center of the bustling Italian city, with the starring model Bianca Balti mixing with the town's residents as well as passers-by for a series of fascinating portraits.

Michael Cinco to present A/W ’16 Couture Collection at Paris Haute Couture Week

Renowned Philippine and Dubai-based couturier, Michael Cinco, has announced that he will present at Paris Haute Couture Week later this year. Cinco will present his Autumn / Winter 2016 Couture Collection in partnership with the Asian Couture Federation and as part of a special collaboration with COUTURíSSIMO, the latest initiative from the Asian Couture Federation which aims to provide consumers with access to affordable couture-inspired pieces designed by leading couturiers. Michael Cinco will design a special collection for COUTURíSSIMO which will be presented on the runway immediately following his Autumn / Winter 2016 Couture Collection on July 3, 2016.

Armani seeks to entice fashionistas in ‘key market’ Russia

Renowned Italian designer Giorgio Armani sought to entice Moscow fashionistas with his latest creations on a visit to Russia amid weaker demand globally for luxury goods. In his first visit to Moscow since 2009, the 81-year old fashion veteran presented and signed copies of his autobiography as well as hosted a catwalk show of his men's and women's autumn/winter 2016/2017 collections. Models strutted down the catwalk in a former electric cable factory in the Russian capital and Armani closed the Thursday show holding a giant Russian nesting doll.
