If you're not yet familiar with the word ‘Greenery' in fashion terms, then you're about to be. Greenery is described as “a fresh and zesty yellow-green shade that evokes the first days of spring when nature's greens revive, restore and renew.” This was certainly one of the major themes of the SS17 shows, where all things botanical reigned supreme. The shade could be seen at Balenciaga, where it was worked into a horticultural-themed jumpsuit, and at Louis Vuitton, where it formed the basis of a head-to-toe asymmetrical cut-out trouser suit with modern black accents.

The French designer chose the futuristic Niterói Contemporary Art Museum for the show, channeling the building's billowing curves and oceanside location through a collection that was simultaneously sporty, dramatic and laid-back. Scuba-style dresses featured cut-out detailing, wetsuit-like collars and longer-length side panels, with stripes and racing check patterns emphasizing the sporty undertones of the collection.
